About Us

Myron Mooney was born in Decatur, AL, in 1953. His mother's family were French Huguenots and his father's family immigrated from Northern Ireland during the potato famine in 1876. Myron grew up on the family farm and attended the local high school and one of the fundamental churches in the area. He attended Bob Jones University, where he earned a BA degree in Bible and met Barbara, whom he married in 1979. Although Myron ministered in Baptist churches, God called him into the Free Presbyterian denomination, where he has faithfully pastored Trinity Free Presbyterian Church for 37 years. The Mooneys have five adult married children and 24 grandchildren.
